Colours of Emotions

Colours of Emotions

A Poem by Spectra Nox

Red like passion
The passion I had for you
The colours of sickening sweet feelings
Embittering the bottom of my pit
The blue Ecstasy of my excitement
Long gone of the green waves of envy
From the flock of admirers of whom I couldn't compete
Black the colour of my soul; the emptiness I have
I couldn't truly feel the same
Purple for the mysticism of your attraction
How could someone ever like me?

The sickening shades of emotions that toil in my mind
The slur of red and blue which I now feel
After the black has taken its toll, we've ended
It's all me. I'm sorry my dear
I'm sorry that you were dead to me
And now when I desire the shades of sick colour
I'm left with the horrible hue of grey- the one of loneliness
But you do nothing to stir the feelings, as you've already left my spectrum
And flocked to another's
