Daunted

Daunted

A Poem by Melissa.B
"

Afraid of facing the consequences, of misery and pain in life with the confusion of having feelings that cannot be dealt with. For that reason we accept the way fate is shaped and moulded for us.

"
Daunted

Marked in ink of distressed words
That never seem to ward off my skin

An open book of choice
With emotions conspicuous
In each and every aspect

Love
Happiness
Hate
Anger

Story of my life
Travels in a pattern
Like an intensive care unit monitor

Wish these words were meaningless
But it affects me at every angle
As it seeps into my bones
Reminding me of the pain it has

As I'm defenseless, I let it continue
To extent of having no energy to oppose
