I do not cry

I do not cry

A Poem by Melissa Kesead

I sit here, alone in my room

and think about you

your smile, your face

your sweet embrace

and wish you were here

I sit here, alone in the gloom

of my existence

to face that which haunts me

to face that which taunts me

and shed a tear

I melt here, into my pillows

and imagine they're you

and my sorrows pour out

and I scream and I shout

terrorizing my mind

I melt here, and think of willows

endlessly weeping

and I love you more

and my eyes grow sore

but I do not cry

A very sad piece indeed, holding on no matter what the cost~
a lot of emotions surface here but yet the tears will not flow
Very nicely done~THanks for another fine addition to the HBH Contest

holding back the tears is another way of holding onto past baggage, yet I see one didn't want to let go of the memories no matter how sad it made them. this is the darker side of love.
