My Albatross

My Albatross

A Poem by Mellany

The body mimics your intricate moves

and I contort to a sprinkling of air.

My body covets you

but barely touches the tips of your fingers.

A fraction of turquoise

and a breath full of sky

is all that seperates us,

yet through movement we speak and pray

through silence we thread our bonds.

Albatross,

my albatross,

the black stains on your white page

cannot distract me from your beauty.

So with twist and turn I follow,

resting only in the feathers of your wing.
