Your Loneliness

Your Loneliness

A Poem by Melody
"

...And that is what makes life feel so short and dire.

"
I hope to one day touch your hand
and for you not to cringe,
that breaks my heart, just like dry land.
The sharp stab, a wound from an unsterilized syringe.
it's sad that's all it takes
for me to get on hands and knees and crawl back to you.
I'll do whatever I have to do just to heal the wounds you made,
I'm tired of the same grey sky; I need to see the pink, purple, and the blue.

From all of this,
I hope you now know that your loneliness
should come with handling kits
and that all it will ever do is give me bliss.
Maybe someday you will grow up and take notice
that loneliness can make life feel oh so short and way to dire.
Maybe someday you will make people feel the opposite of a dying lotus.
Maybe someday you will make someone feel the ultimate desire of their heart on fire.
