when i was in my mothers stomach i was miserable

upside down and 2 weeks late

when i was little there wasnt a care in the world

there were no feelings

just blind glee

as i grew up i learned that people were different than me

i learned that not everyone loved each other

i learned about hate

and about violence

when she was in her mothers stomach her life was great

she was right side up and just on time

when she was little she couldnt play outside

there were no feelings

she was just trapped

as she grew up she learned that people were different than her

she knew that not everyone loved each other

she saw it on the news

on her street

she had to learn about hate

she learned about violence from her own home town
