Skin deep

Skin deep

A Poem by Meraki

She was a beauty to behold
But the stench of rot beneath porcelain skin
Proved too great an obstacle for even the strongest of men

Her long tresses glinting playfully in the sunlight
A smile that mirrored innocence
Eyes so wide
They spoke of the untold horrors festering beneath
Her beauty

The soft curves of her rounded hips
The concave sweeps of her seductive waist
How tempting she was
And the way her hips moved
Spoke of an attitude that was not to be toyed with
For beauty has become the beast
A challenge with which no man would attempt to compete
