Smudge

Smudge

A Poem by Meraki

I love the blurry lines
We write when we try to describe
Two halves as separate wholes
I love it when others dare to define them
Coloring them darker
With sharper words and ideas

But it doesn't take
It never does

As if you could switch
From one to the other
Without watching their colors mix and bleed
As if you could look
Without seeing the in between

I love to see the faces
When they realize their mistake

If there is one at all

The smudge of colors that is
Us
