This is a song I wrote in my deepest depression. I didn't know what else to do.

Things are oh so funny when the repetition is ridiculous

And the odds are against you, your shots misfired

Could be half and half for all you know, a losing hit or miss

Doesn't matter when you lay down your arms 'cause you're so damn tired.

 

Your heart cries out injustice for an act of hate and violence

Perpetrated by the very thing so inspired to fight back

It's so hard when you're sitting alone to get your thoughts to make sense

When the walls come crashing down you hardly knew you were under attack

 

Don't leave me stranded

Don't try to save me from the hole I'm in

I have been branded

By my own clever notions of sin

If there is hope out there for me

I don't want to know because I'm too afraid

If it was meant to be

Should've already been

I know I should've been saved.

Everyone who consoles your broken pieces think that they can see

All they see is the path you took but they don't understand how far

Truth is that the person they believe is the person that you can never be.

 

You've walked so far from yourself that you're just some speck in the distance

Left behind with the specks of the life you used to lead

Left behind with the heartaches and the pity parties and the missed chance

Become naive and a fool and you know you don't want to but you hold it to your heart like a creed.
