Sandman

Sandman

A Poem by Merenwen99
"

This is a poem concerning the nightly journeys of the sandman.

"

I'll see you tonight

But I won't make a peep.

I sprinkle sand from my sack

So you'll fall asleep.

I'll tell dreams to your ear

In the dead of the night

When silence is loud

And there is no more light.

So go to bed early

And up you will wkae

Your eyes wide and opened,

No fuss you will make.

But go late to bed

And you'll meet your demise

You'll be tired in the morning

Sand still in your eyes!

I'm coming around

To every house and home

To put you to sleep

As all over I roam.

The sandman am I,

And all over I go.

With my bag and your dreams

I reach high and reach low.

Please feel free to be harsh. I love constructive criticism.

Specifically, do you think it would flow better if I separated it (as is) into stanzas?

I think this is great how it is. I like the rhythm and I think it's a cute poem all together.

This is a fun poem and I don't think you need to separate it.
