Raving Gypsies

Raving Gypsies

A Poem by Michael Lopez
"

Fires licking the night sky...

"

Photobucket

Like herding caravans of gypsies.

Fires flicker, licking the night sky.

The waves of endless dunes,

with shrubbery of unknown phylums.

Excotic sounds of music.

Silohouettes in the dark,

Dancers in their trances.

Perfumed oils draw you closer.

The feelings of temptation,

take hold of you.

A lost paradise found.

Visiting a forgotten  time.

Like slipping into a dream,

and never wanting to wake.

Gypsies are so inspiring but seem to go in and out of media like trends. Against the grain is a good niche for you. Great poem

Good descriptive passage. Just a second, I need to dust the sand off of my clothes.
