Nectar and Ambrosia

Nectar and Ambrosia

A Poem by Michael Osterhus

Nectar and ambrosia;

we fair devils;

clean skin delights are no delicacy

to madly frustrated and tortured souls.

No satin, nor smooth silk, nor equal flesh

can divine from my mouth the blazing light

when the song of my soul is so corrupt,

but I do wait;

the petals of round lips

penetrable thighs

and rondure of hips,

the food of the gods does seep from our pores;

my tongue will taste,

for that

I am that slave.
