The Brink of Adulthood and Beyond

The Brink of Adulthood and Beyond

A Poem by Michelle Fourie
"

Issues relating to adulthood, with closeness distance themes.

"
Show me yours
And I'll show you mine
.....my joy, my pain
my material gain
my dark shadow
my light halo
my black rain
my hollow pocket
my empty locket.
Erickson's " Intimacy versus Isolation.....
A critical developmental task"
.....hurry!
No time to bask!
Move on Move on
There's haste
Little time to waste.
Where art thou Lollipop Man
With your red stop sign outside the school gate?
I want to regress to zebra crossings with my school mate
With ink our hands
And playgrounds on our minds
With time in my heart
Can we delay our start?
