Forever

It was supposed to be everlasting,
I shared with you, my soul,
and all that I was,
I would have loved you forever,
but our passion was just,
a figment of my imagination,
there was only the dark,
and forever meant only a second,
that was all it took, then,
all that was left ,was my bleeding soul,
when I turned and said goodbye,
