My Mistake

You made me believe that you were the one.

The one who cared about me and loved me,

but when time passed I started seeing things.

 

People saw right away you were wrong for me.

You took me away from my friends and changed me.

As you treated me like just another one of the girls,

the girls you just mess with.

 

As I kept hearing lectures about being with you

I started pushing people away,thinking you were worth it.

Time passed and you started treating me differently.

 

Calling me names and becoming abusive,

shutting me out when you were hurt.

Lashing out at me when you were angry.

 

When things went wrong you would say

"Babe don't you trust me?....I love you"

Playing with my mind again.

 

Everytime I would forgive you,

tell myself that you really did love me.

You never have and never will.

 

You and I are just a fatal memory.

A memory I want to forget,

a memory that ruined my friendships.

 

 

I wish I had never fell for you,

believed you and your words,

but people make mistakes and you are mine.

We have to move on, and that's just what I'm doing.
