Love?

Love?

A Poem by Midnight's Mistress

I see what all these couples are going through.

Watching them fall apart, and now there are only a few.

Two souls who have found a way to intertwin.

I wish love were as easy as "Mickey, Be Mine".

He tears her heart and she cries;

She cheats on him and tells so many lies.

He sees a girl and has a one night stand;

She yells at him and he hits her with his left hand.

It sickens me to hear my friends cry,

When they tell me their heart was torn by some guy.

How difficult can it be just to find,

A good hearted boy who won't change their mind?

What has become of the meaning of love?

When soft hands are used for a rough shove?

People these days just don't comprehend;

That breaking hearts is not a new trend.

Wow, amazing. This poem is full of emotion and truth. I can definitely relate to parts of this. You summed up so much of today's world in so few lines. All I can say is awesome poem. :)
