Beautiful Melancholy

 

The sky is grey and the rain won´t stop falling

I´m alone at home �" and no one is calling

Haven´t slept for days, always staying up till the morning

Am I tired? No, cause my coffee is calming

 

I´m drowning in sorrow/

Always thinking `bout tomorrow

 

Feeling kind of blue/

Every time I think about you/

 

But I still keep going and I somewhat enjoy it/

This melancholy so beautiful I don’t want to spoil it

This is something that we all go throughout our lives.
No matter what happens to us throughout our lives, we have to push forward.
There are some days where you can't take it anymore. But for me, I have found joy in writing.

want to put music to this...a soft drum...a guitar solo that heats up into a frenzy and then slowly dies away...just like the lonely person who almost finds love and acceptance, but ends up with the blues...alone, playing his or her own song to no one.

I know this exact feeling & you describe it perfectly. Melancholy has always been the feeling I get when free playful summertime transitions into the drab solitude of autumn around here! And I love it. I love reveling in the sensations of melancholy, but I've never known another person in my life who understood that. That's why your poem is such a delight.
