Woh Anjaane

This poem tells that how one meets a strange girl and fall in love with her.

  

                                       Woh Anjaane

Na hue woh hamare,

Na hue kisi gair ke;

Bas muskurakar alvida keh gaye is seher se.

Unki sobat mein kabhi gam na tha,

Aankhon mein kabhi nam na tha;

Banjar par woh shabnam sa tha,

Zindagi mein woh sargam sa tha,

Mere sar par woh fitoor tha,

Unke bina mein benoor tha;

Unke naam ka dil mein suroor tha,

Unhe chahne ka jazba-ae-junoon tha,

Anjaane hokar bhi woh apne the,

Mere tasavvur ke woh sapne the.

Par woh saksh mere saath nahi,

Dil thoda hataash hai par naraaz nahi,

Aakhir unki woh yaadein unki woh baatein,

Unki woh saari mulakaatein;

Hamesha mere saath hai.

Woh Anjaane jinke yeh haseen nazraane,

Hamesha mere saath hai.
