A Poem by Mikaelah
"

Something that has been bothering me for some time now.

"
My mother and father, they had destroyed one another
Taking their lives, but never their love
Abandoned they had left it there, smoldering with embers
They had forgotten

I was small, never the one to speak
And so I had been silent, weeping gently
With a fear that a similar fate is what I would meet

But as your thumb touches my cheek, I beg you not to leave

I am allowing vulnerability, a lethal trait
Embracing it as I would you
Fully knowing it is a risk,
A risk I had made not too soon

Author's Note

Mikaelah
Typed on the spot, so not expecting it to be wonderful. Just needed some emotional purging.
