The Nine Years War

The Nine Years War

A Poem by Mikeandike
"

This one's about a divorce.

"
so pristine and pure,
Filthy.
without care, a rock can lose meaning.

lonely, are all these
empty halls.
fire freezes Barren walls.

….
hear a pin drop in chaos,
lend me your passion.
sign here, for a lost Love.

I like the way your writing can be written in simple forms, yet the meaning behind it is much stronger than you put forth. It gives your readers the opportunities to make of your words and phrases what they want. I like the first stanza the best because of the way I can see many different windows of opportunity. One can see different ideas when reading "a rock can lose meaning".
But I am not really sure why you chose to break between your second and third stanza. maybe because you didn't think they fit together? Or to just emphasize the fact that you are making the switch to a more personalized formation of words. I like this poem: you are one of many who are not trying too hard, and actually make things "work". Good write, Mike. I hope to see more!
