An Eve's eye

An Eve's eye

A Poem by Mimosapudica
"

The typical story of Adam and Eve seen from Eve's view.

"
She opened her eyes to see a man with a smile carved on his face
She opened her eyes to the garden of Eden, an unknown place
Share a knot with Adam, give his heart peace, a command it was
Don't away your eyes to the forbidden tree, a reprimand it was
Created was I, just for the solace of man?
Have I no say in this whole great plan?
Why give me a brain, when all you need is compliance?
Why give me a desire, when you can't bear defiance?
Why create me a woman, when all the angels bow to a man?
Why do I feel guilty, when in my mind away have I ran?
Oh forbidden tree! Are you incarnated as a savior for me?
Come Adam, what power it unfolds, we shall eat and see.

Beautiful, I love how it is in Eve's perspective, you don't get to ready many of theses.
