A Delight

Coming from a dark place but in a poetic way to make it seem less harsh.

Nicotine and whiskey yourself to sleep.

Dream the dreams that always seem a delight until you're lured into the dark. 

Sitting alone in a closest, fear and loneliness haunting your every breath.

Remember the time I almost jumped into a raging river, just to get away.

I don't talk about the time I almost committed suicide by jumping in.

I don't have the energy to fight you, I know your right, the air just felt so tight 

The waves carrying me, my head bumping into rock after rock, let my body float into midair

So there!

I wish a wish that will never come true.

true love is dubbed into a step by step map.

I am lost and will not turn back.

the night is dark the day is dull.

Why can't I sleep?

My heart will always skip a beat. This plan is the worst I know.

I am truly cursed no avoidance about it. 

The clouds come rolling in just like your eyes when I say, "There are dishes to be done".

We fight

I cry

I want to just die. 

But hey forget it, let's have a cigarette and listen to depressing music until I stop crying.

Until I don't feel like the world is falling apart around me.

You want a girl that's grounded, who can't fly too high above you but still loves you.

What a cliche.

To this day I ride the clouds until I disburse into flames

The insults are all fair game until one of us falls down.

Jump on the merry go round, wave Hi to the clowns that haunt your every dream. 

Cheer to all the dreams I will never achieve.

Let a dream, dream a little dream my dream bird.

Are you scared? Why not?

Let's make this day the day, when we ride off into the sunset like Velma and Luis. 

That's right I said it, let's end it.

All the romantic s**t aside, I would rather die than listen to your mix tape.

Lose your mind or else.

The doors will lock automatically so be quick or you'll be trapped here too,

Just like the rat they blinded with science and scissors

Run and run but not too fast

The world you will miss

Instead stand still and let it pass on by.

I cant figure out if you just really really love her or you just really really hate yourself but this reminds me of a friend who was stuck in thios relationship they did nothing but smoke pot and trip on occasion never left the house just vegged out for days at a time it got to sad for me to even visit they were both so unhappy

I feel some realization of a harsh reality. A relationship that turns sour with some bad after taste. An affirmation of the freedom of individuality with space to breathe. A trapping that feels the weight of chains. Very powerful and focused.
