Summer Night HymnA Poem by MiriamMBas summer draws closer, I feel compelled to start serenading it's arrival lolMoonlight sonata in cricket songs Air so warm and thick with a perfume of crushed grass and water, so sweet, The splendor compels you to worship Your elated heart splits like soft fruit Your lips part, And the throat makes way, for a song of praise Spun long and tossed high To a summer night unfolding, Our beautiful blue black heaven How far past can we see Looking up? Standing on a rock Floating in the middle of nowhere And everywhere Being nothing and everything All at the same time. © 2013 MiriamMB |
