The burden of being a child of unwilling travelers

The burden of being a child of unwilling travelers

A Poem by MiriamMB
"

this is based on the feeling of being uprooted after moving to a new country, especially for immigrant children from families moving permanently for economic reasons.

"

The burden of being a child of unwilling travelers,

Chasing stability across the Atlantic sea

the hunger that lingers

inside the ulcer ridden stomachs of their progeny

the want to go back, back, back into memories

because the land they knew is no more

there is no home left to claim here.
