Wanderer Heart

Wanderer Heart

A Poem by MiriamMB

My heart has grown stubborn

It is restless, naive, ignores the large gashes

along it’s waterline, scars from many a journey

wounds from other reckless adventures

Moaning longingly

it looks to the horizon for a new adventure

It is a ship with no anchor

it’s sails have come undone

and it’s sharpened silver bow leaves gashes

deep and scaring, upon the surface of my soul

its direction is towards where

the sun goes to finds solace

and the moon rises to rule the sky

I worry, night after night

About this restless stubborn heart of mine.

Beautiful poetry. Wonderful imagery and smooth as silk rhythm. It calls out to my wanderlust, making a readable and intelligent poem.
