But It Was Just A Dream

But It Was Just A Dream

A Poem by Misanthea

I had a dream last night (or was it early today?)
Where brimming eyes and a glowing smile called my name
Told me to lay down so I could dream
And in my dream I am wrapped by an unfamiliar warmth
That hazed my judgement and unburdened me from my guilt
It thawed my dream out and put my feet back on the ground
So I walked back to my house and sat by the door
Where the same brimming eyes and smoking smile look down on me
And then I noticed there was never a dream.
Who the f**k am I, believing in dreams?

I am merely moving through life, trying to find a place where I may feel at ease. I like many different things that probably do not fit or match together. For one thing I really like music, and I l.. more..
