I Remember Tam Lin

I Remember Tam Lin

A Poem by Miss Mary Jane
"

Based loosely off the Scottish ballad Tam Lin.

"
In a vision of the wood
all green and golden.
I saw a familiar face.

His eyes the color of the sea.
His hair the color of the growing wheat.
A face which holds all the ancient characters
of my ancestors.

These highlands they called unto me.
To come home to this town of my mother's
mother's mother's birth.
To recapture the knight which was lost to us.

Taken by the faerie queen,
to live under mountains of rolling green.
To take from maidens that passed through his
wood.
But this wood was given to me.

Even when I was but a whisper on my mother's lips,
I remembered Tam Lin.

About
My name is Mary Jane, I'm just another character brought on to you by the gods. I believe in mystical adventures to heighten the passion of life. I like to go out into nature and worship pagan deities.. more..
