A poem about doubts & worries

Days seem like forever

Forever feels like a fable

Can it be true

will I have you

to have and to hold

in sickness and in health?

Darling I feel so cold

Do desperate eyes gaze upon you?

Do other hands long to be held in yours?

Do other hearts long to feel yours beat?

I beg of them,

not to take from me all I've got

I'd gladly give her everything that is,

everything that was,

and everything that will be 

mine,

Except you

You are all I ask of the sun and stars

You are all I ask of God

When all of life's horizons are dark and dim,

I beg

please, oh please God, 

Please don't take him
