Reel Unwinding

Reel Unwinding

A Poem by MissKayP

day dissolving

    depositing just you and I

        onto warming barstools

             city street rolling up

                two spotlights affixed

casting everything else into fuzzy shadow

fingertips lightly reacquianting, rippling into a

fluttering, flustering, flushing rosy spead to cheeks and chest, belly laughing, bubbling over making eyes sleepy with lips and teeth wide awake.lips.pink and moist with beer hardly reaching your chestnut, coarse bearded hair. Rough, inviting.I withhold kisses but offer cheek nuzzling.you settle for this.we are two cats fondly greeting each other.you are fond of me - your heartbeat, quickening with the tension that pulses and sustains this...  even if tomorrow our words are unspoken, my hair knotted and your stomach growling. Even though there will be a dull throb, this night still clinging to our skin, shoes hurriedly tied. Even though you'll look back.once.leaving the fading echo of tonight to deliver me silence.Even though...
