As I sit here at ease
Feeling the fresh breeze
With pen and paper
Putting much thought
Into this sheet

My life is precious
My heart is of gold
People surround me
I better not get cold

Those negative vibes
The hate society brings
It is up to me
To put everything behind

Stay Positive
Smile brightly
Be almighty
Stay high...

I am sitting here at the park after a run and thought I would share what was in mind. Hope you all enjoy and any criticism is welcome.

Of course, stay positive. Ive read three poems before this. They are great. At this point in time they are simple and sweet, but that's how you want them to be. As you build on that niceness, more complex ideas and structures in poetry will begin to take shape. Just keep writing and posting
That Pecan Pie poem was nice too. The twist at the end made it interesting.
The one on the Dating scene was very honest. Honesty brings you a whole lot of new friends.
I think you do have a nice elegant style-but probably shy to branch out into new territory or maybe its too early.
Complex poetry is not always the best though.
