Autism Cinquain

Autism Cinquain

A Poem by MistyFog

Quiet

Still there waiting

For somebody to help

Humming her mysterious song

Standing

Helpless

Afraid of change

Strangers don't understand

A growing problem for the world

Listen

Before

It is too late

Help spread awareness of

Something that changes our lives

Please help

SPREAD AWARENESS OF AUTISM!

This is beautiful. I love and appreciate its message!

The opening stanza is just amazing. It sets the tone of the whole piece and really was a pleasure to read, as was all of it!

I once spent a day in a school where children with autism lived on site. The funny thing is, in a lot of ways, they were perfectly normal to me, maybe more so that the people society calls 'normal'.

But I digress! Beautiful piece!
