"I must be strong"

A poem I wrote today about how a girl must be strong for her sister. I dedicate this to my sister, Mina.

 

As I walk past,

And once glimsp in.

 

I hear your tears,

And stop my own.

 

You are in there,

Just beyond that cracked door.

 

Your curled up on the bed,

A plushie in your arms.

 

I must walk on,

A hand over my mouth and eyes shut tigh.

 

Onc out of earshot,

I let them fall.

 

The tears I’ve held back,

Thinking,

“I must be strong for her.”

This is a very interesting write, it flows so well... "Once out of earshot, I let them fall"... beautiful.

Curious though, there is no mention as to why these tears do flow. Understand why you need to be strong, but interpretations are left to a vast sky.

The person in this poem obviously cares a lot for their sister and wants to protect her. It's a sad situation but you portrayed it well.
