Don't ever wash your hair.A Poem by Modern HelotA kind of almost creepy love poem.
The easiest ones are the hardest ones, then back and forth again
The difference between us grows and grows, I feel it all around Your distance beckons like an off-shore siren, yet I must resist your sound. And still, and still, I am overcome Overwhelmed with the knowledge of our love And all that will be, let it be to us now When will you return to me, so we can continue as we were? My life is waiting for you to come, to come on back, back home to me Back into my arms to where at once you never were But at least in that time never nearer you were Nearer to me that our paths may cross. Oh how I could kiss that pavement path! Shakespeare said it well, though it would do me well to be without For he's a love-stricken puppy, whereas I am simply without. Oh that path it cherishes momentum beneath your feet The promises of your coming embrace as you move upon it To be the one that guides your soul, along your allotted path To be the one that guides you home, that guides you home so well But alas and patience must suffice me still For I know whose firm and warm embrace Awaits at the end of that long path home It is I! Your promised and beloved one! I'll hold you gently as you slowly drown in the musk of my perfume And when you pull from our embrace, witness it absorbed! Deep within the glimmering strands of your dark and gentle hair For that way, you carry me, and I may always be with you, Wherever we may go, bouting to and fro, forever us dovetailed Until you wash your hair. © 2015 Modern Helot |
