Leticia to the city

Inside a train third class 

sited at the window

one side of the train ,

Leticia

was heading to town for a job

she had applied for,

 now called for interview 

and 

probably start the job shortly after

Shadrack has just woken up

 06:45 am

takes his cap on the table

 puts it on

 there were also keys on the same table

he takes them

 closes the door 

and 

lives the house

the same way he was yesterday

rushing

to his car starts  the car at the parking

talks to himself 

"almost late to the train station"

its Thursday

last week i slept to two 08:oo am

I'd be interested in why you believe that breaking an essay into short lines turns it into poetry.

People work hard earning a degree centered on poetry and you don't think at least some of what they learn there is necessary?

There's no reason you can't learn those skills. there are websites that focus on poetic technique. The library has a section devoted to poetry writing. So jump in. Nothing good comes free of effort, and in our school years we learned nothing but how to write nonfiction. That's why they assigned so many reports and essays.

The problem is, that while employers need us to have those skills, poetry isn't fact-based. The poet doesn't talk TO the reader, as you do here. That's fact-based, and as interesting as any report. But poetry makes us feel and care, not be better informed.

So jump in and grab a poetic education. It makes the writing easier, more fun, and, pleases the reader.
