superlative poem and your reading is so engaging...we feel the despair and then the hope...the child scorned, mistreated by the mother, unloved..but the grandmother gives her hope, and urges she become the best she can be and withstand the mental and emotional torture because in the end there will love...

I loved it and the voice is so marvelous. The story is unfolding with pain and hurt, but promises of love, peace and joy are on the horizon. I can sense all the emotions. You are artful...
