I Think of You

I Think of You

A Poem by Noah Cole
"

I shall always think of you...

"

When I am afraid,
I think of you.
Because I see your face,
Shining in the darkness.
When I feel depressed,
I think of you.
Because you have always given me,
A shoulder to lean on.
When I feel cold,
I think of you.
Because you have always been,
My fire in the winter.
Whenever I feel lonely,
I think of you.
Because you have been a friend,
When there was no one else around.
And when I am about to face death,
I shall think of you one last time.
Because your beautiful smiling face,
Was the only angel I had ever seen.

Author's Note

Noah Cole
(Note from Feb 2012): Another poem I enjoy from my late high school days. This poem pretty much hallmarked (am I using that right?) my transition from brooding, lonely romance, into bright, happy romance. There isn't too much I can say about this one, but I love the warm feeling I get everytime I read it. As always, I appreciate any and all thoughts: critiques, suggestions, and analyses. Thanks :)
