Puppet

Puppet

A Poem by Emily

Break my world like glass
Ice shattering to fall apart
At the seams
Poor tortured puppet
Pulled from his strings

Dance, they said
And he danced
Dis-jointed rather than smooth
Sit, they said
And he sat
Flopping down where dropped.

Then, they said, love
But love, he said
Could not be controlled by strings
And so they let him fall away,
And break
Broken body, broken heart.

I've been imagining my stories since I can remember. My mother always thought I was the dreamer, and I am. I love to write, and have for years. Poetry is more random, and short stories are more well.. more..
