Daddy Is Here

when your born and crying in mummy's arms daddy is always here

when you speak your first words and start to walk daddy is always here

when  your scared at night and think there are monsters daddy's always here

when you cold and freezing daddy is here

when your sad and upset daddy is here

when mummy's away for what ever reason daddy is here

when you start to live on your own and you are lonely pick up the phone and daddy is here

No matter your age or whats wrong Mummy and Daddy is always here

This is a well written poem. I sense the emotion and can relate to the theme. I especially love the last two lines. I'm 67 years old and my 'Mummy is alway here for me' too. Unfortunately Daddy has passed but I sense his presence as though 'Daddy is always here.'

I appreciate you sharing this poem with me because you have allowed me to be a part of your story. That's an important aspect of good writing.

It needs a little grammer TLC but easily fixed by reading it aloud and listening.

Example: 'when you're born ---'
'when you're scared ----'
'Mummy and Daddy are ----'
