Momentum

A Poem by Moonrose
"

My English teacher decided to make us write a poem... it had to be fourteen lines, and tie into Romanticism somehow. Haha I guess this is a stretch; I was feeling a wee bit lazy :P Enjoy!

"

It always starts so simply

as a single drop of rain

not near enough to wash away

the sorrows and the pain

But then the other raindrops

join in on the lament

and work to soothe the fire

that burns the hearts of men

The rainfall keeps on building

as each soul joins the cry

until it forms a river

drawing in each passerby

And so what tried to drown us all

Retreats beneath our waterfall

About
Hi! I've loved to write for as long as I can remember, but I am an amateur and I realize that. I know I have a ton to work on and improve, and I can't wait to learn from the many talented writers .. more..
