Nope, Still Numb

Nope, Still Numb

A Poem by Maudlin Kat
"

About the shock experienced during true loss contrasting to the raw emotion one feels over trivial events

"
How can things so trivial enrage
Yet things so dramatic cause
Numbness?
You get cut off in traffic
You flail, scream, and rage
But lose your love and your best friend?
Know you’ll never see them again?
Numbness
It takes a while
For the pain to sink in
And even longer to feel love again
I am cruel because of my
Numbness.
