STRIPES

STRIPES

A Poem by Mosunmola Adeniyi

Heavy clefts and scraps; the walls of my heart out of bond
Swamped shatters like relics, sighted crawls on open surface
Do not remind me how I got here
Brace-ups from defeat, an antidote to the entire soul
Pioneers in dark milieus still, this is in nothing but my past
Emptiness in space, haziness in structure
Fruitless toils; boundless strives in holes of regrets
A thousand years journey, countless miles
Ranges of deceits, only the cruel rolls its moss
Dashes from the sea, the most profound sigh
Whence I come, the cracked pot shutters into form
Fate rides in majesty; a total plunge for the rest

its impressive the way you form pieces like this. I liked it a lot. I found myself reading a second poem withing your poem:

“the walls of my heart out of bond
sighted crawls on open surface
Do not remind me how I got here
this is in nothing but my past
haziness in structure
Fruitless toils
A thousand years journey, countless miles
Dashes from the sea
the cracked pot shutters into form
Fate rides in majesty”

It was very fun!
Ps. sorry if i offend you by de-constructing your poem.
