Before sleep comes

Before sleep comes

A Poem by MrBlack202

As the sweet wind touches my face,
I lay my head on the cotton clouds of peace.

Where tranquility fills the place,
Where the intimacy of silence unites with the soul.

The ever-replenishing fountain of the soul,
Always yearning for more, yet aware of time's gentle role.

The stillness breaks, and the sound of dawn forms.
A new beginning unfolds, and the sun's kiss gentle upon my face

Sleep and rest are often sought after by those folks with a million thoughts and inspirations running through their minds. The creative even dream of creating but that is wonderful. The creators in life are not the destroyers. But the naysayers and the doubters, the critics and the louters will never find joy in anything except trying to tear down what others have built. It's so easy to distinguish one from the other. As Thomas Paine once wrote, "The sun needs no inscription to distinguish himself from the darkness." May all your dreams be sweet. I enjoyed the read. Nice poem
The transition between night and dawn is smooth
Loved how starting and ending line mirror each other with its own touch
