At The End, Near the Beach

At The End, Near the Beach

A Poem by Mr.Boffin

The Sun lowering fences,
Breathing out Today --
Whispering past tenses;
Lowered throughout the Day.

   Two lovers lie
   On beach's dry
   and
   Clasped hands
   Breeding lovely sighs.

The fired Sky,
Blazing closely by;
Played with falling stars,
Crashing by.

   Remembering of Montauk
   We laughed and played;
   Those
   Sunny Days --
   That past and traveled
   Awry.

Madness encroaches
Approaches the Fire, the Sky;
Dust and Ashes, and
All that remains.

   Reminisce
   Withered
   Blending
   Into --
   Unknown.
   They sheath their
   Souls --
   and
   Pray, and
   Say goodbye.

Yet, in these moments, are our souls allowed to develop - an opportunity that Life presents to look into ourselves and know who we are. It is Life prodding us to explore ourselves such that we are ready to face life anew with other faces in other times and places.
The experience is there for the taking. It all rests on the choices we make: we can dwell, simmer and rot or reflect, blossom and grow.

All those bittersweet memories...This touched me so much.
Sad but beautifully written. Thanks for the share.
