Goodnight Moonlight

Goodnight Moonlight

A Poem by Tyler Hein
"

An ode to a better time

"

I asked you out to our favorite place

To lie on our backs and stare out at space

And as raindrops fall and stop and freeze

We'll be released from the days disease

She said "Can't you see my heart is jaded.

and that the dawn is over-rated."

I said "Lay with me and watch the skies,

stay with me until sunrise."

Slowly you rose and with a kiss you were gone

Wishing the best on the path I'm on

And I hope that when you said goodbye

You only meant until next time.

Goodnight moonlight
