Message To A Queen

Message To A Queen

A Poem by Jason
"

This is one of those notes one would pass in class... only the class is the class of life; love and lust.

"

Grief is the only way to turn over a new leaf.
I decided to put it in a poem because I get nervous when I’m around you,
It gets hard for me to speak.
My mouth gets dry, and my legs feel weak;
Cause I’m in the presence of a Queen,!
From the top of your hair follicles,
To the soul of your bronze complexion feet,
I think it could be a taste of destiny;
For us to meet in this place, and this time.
Your emotions might be a little raw right now
So I’ll give you your space, run this race at your pace,
Until it will be my privilege to hold you down.
Let my silliness create in you an unadulterated laughter
And from this point after my heart, soul, arms, and chest,
Will be a place for you to feel secure, confide in, and rest.
As the big and little hand race around the circumference of this circle of life,
From one to twelve
My confidence in this will grow,
The deeper into each other we allow ourselves to dwell.
We can be each others oasis and sip from the waters
Of one another’s life sustaining wells.
As we carve out a new path together on this road of life,
Know that there has to be some grief so you can know,
That it is time to turn over a new leaf.
