I'll Be There When it Ends

I'll Be There When it Ends

A Poem by MrOshimida27

I’ll Be There When it Ends

I walk this ashen street

Beneath a darkening sky.

Feel my lonely heart beat,

And begin to wonder why.

They say you two look cute,

They say you two really click.

But what they say is moot,

Deep inside he’s just a prick.

But I promise…

When there’s fires in your cities,

When there’s tears in your eyes,

The world comes down around you,

Then it’ll be him you despise.

When your heart is broken,

I’ll be the one who mends.

You two will break away;

I’ll be there when it ends.

I give you both good will

Beneath a darkening sky.

I’ll say I wish you two well,

And you’ll know it’s a lie.

They’re all over you two.

They say you two really click.

But seeing him with you

Makes my ashen spirit sick.

But I promise…

When there’s fires in your cities,

When there’s tears in your eyes,

The world comes down around you,

Then it’ll be him you despise.

When your heart is broken,

I’ll be the one who mends.

You two will break away;

I’ll be there when it ends.

When you two go astray,

For each a separate way,

Remember when I say

I’ll be there when it ends.

I’ll be there when it ends.
