revelatioNN

A Poem by Mr Whiskers

I woke knowing I was not there

I had slept through an internal apocalypse

No one sees and so no one shares

And so no one comes to grips

This revelation brings me down

Wide open spaces love

to embrace me in their vastness

Weaving through clouds above

Crying inside and yet unsad

Anything goes when the skies are happy

What the revelation was

I no longer recall

But I do believe

it could have saved us all

Yet

I can bask in this happy feeling

Knowing

And yet consciously ignorant

For I saw

I heard felt smelled and tasted

Happiness that night

Author's Note

Mr Whiskers
Wrote long ago on a morning I remember well...Basically the chemical meanderings of my mind trying to bring back the amazing portal Dr Hoffman opened for us. After the 1st stanza I forgot about (or gave up on) rhyming, but I couldn't bear to fix it bc the arrangement of words was part of the journey back.
