UnFancy

UnFancy

A Poem by Mr Whiskers

My words aren't fancy today
What would you want me to say
Got that feeling that reaches past doubt
You don't like to stay but are scared to get out
Deep the grief that in my chest burrows
A hole that you stick your fingers in
Mock me and each tinge of sorrow
Never let me repay my sins
The words shouted are not from the heart
But the love that is now crumbles and parts
Gaps within the walls of us
And yet this isn't what makes you fuss
What bothers you was that another cared
I'm dismayed this is whats got you scared
You think that you'll never be happy with me
So now you avoid any chance to see
Never let the guards drop down
Always hide behind your prides frown
Words won't penetrate your skull these days
What else would you want me to say
