Heart of a Writer

Heart of a Writer

A Poem by Mrs MelRose

Like a child

You never forget

A story, a thought, a verse

Engraved forever within your heart

No matter how much later

No matter what has came since then

Nothing is every forgotten

Not one thought gets away

When the two main characters

Confess their undying Love for each other

It tugs at your heart

And stirs up that familiar feelings in your heart

You feel the pain from the mother

As she handed over the child she loves so much

To a trusted friend to keep safe

For untold amounts of years

Every line, every thought

Playing over in your heart

Feeling the joys and all the pains

Of the characters you have made

The surge of excitement

From the very first kiss

Mirroring your dreams

And containing your memories

Everything you wish

Some things that you hope

Nothing you have seen

Feelings you may have experienced

Most verses and ideas based on your life

Others on how you see this world

The way that you had felt a long time ago

With the ending that you feel is right

Your imagination running wild

On every blank page

Painting a picture, telling a feeling

For all the world to see

In your heart is where it starts

No thoughts are greater no feelings more real

Then the ones created and described

Through the eyes and in the heart of a writer

reminds me a bit of when I saw the 1968 version of Romeo and Juliet...and was dating a girl who looked and sounded like Olivia Hussey....

needs a couple editing touches but really gets the message across very well.
