I hurt myself today

But that is nothing new

I hurt myself yesterday

I do it better then you do

I know how hard to push the blade

And just how deep to go

I know all the secret places

So my scars will never show

Everything, good or bad

Still my heart feels numb

And everyday I’m terrified

Of the person I’ve become

When I look into the mirror

I don’t know who I see

The demon staring back

Just simply can’t be me
